What can I expect from a healing?

Firstly let me say that no two healing sessions are ever the same. All you need is to come with an open mind and be receptive to the healing energy.

The first part of a healing session identifies what you would like to heal, transform or change; this is done through discussion and often we use oracle cards which can help with insights into what lies underneath the surface issue.

In the second part of the session you will either receive healing whilst lying on a healing couch, by doing interactive guided healing or a mixture of both. I never know exactly which healing tools I am going to use until the session starts as it depends on what is most appropriate for you at that time. You don’t have to believe in it for it to be effective, but an open mind definitely helps!

I use a variety of healing techniques and during a healing session any of the following may be used: Reiki, intention, tapping/EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), oracle cards, crystal healing grids and sacred geometry, Akashic Records healing.

What is healing and how does it work?

Healing is also known as energy medicine and psychic/spiritual healing. There are a wide range of holistic complementary therapies that utilise energy healing in different ways; they all impact the subtle energy systems of the body allowing the body to activate its ability to self-heal. Reiki is now a very popular and widely known healing technique which has its origins in Japan in the early 20th century.

The concept of a universal life force energy has been around for thousands of years in many cultures, the Chinese call it Qi (pronounced chee). Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Qigong all connect with the Qi energy and the meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine are its pathways through the physical body. Energy centres within the body called chakras have been written about in ancient Indian texts dating back to 500BC. Crystals have been used for their healing powers by many civilisations such as the ancient Egyptians, Mayans and Native American Indians. Is there any scientific evidence for healing and the subtle energy systems?

Scientists are now researching our vibrational energy field and discovering that it contains a blueprint for health; our biological processes are not only happening at the level of organs, nerves, neurotransmitters and hormones, there is also coordination through the quantum field. When we become ill, we are not only sick on a physical level but also on an energetic one, therefore in order to regain good health it may be helpful to address the energy field in addition to the physical body. Cell Biologist Bruce Lipton, author of The Biology of Belief states:

“Quantum physicists discovered that physical atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating; each atom is like a wobbly spinning top that radiates energy. Because each atom has its own specific energy signature (wobble) assemblies of atoms (molecules) collectively radiate their own identifying energy patterns. So every material structure in the universe, including you and me, radiates a unique energy signature.”

Lynne McTaggart (Author of The Field, The Intention Experiment and Power of Eight books) has written in detail about scientific studies into the subtle energy fields in her bestselling, ground-breaking book The Field. Lynne has also been involved in a significant amount of research and experiments utilising the power of intention and the significant impact it can have on health, healing and harmony. Lynne says “Human thoughts and intentions are an actual physical ‘something’—a tangible energy—with the astonishing power to affect our world. The latest scientific research proves that every thought we have is a tangible energy that changes the molecular structure of the object of our intentions”. I trained with Lynne as part of her Intention Masterclass in 2015 and I would love to show you how to harness the power of intention.
